thought it was the water pump - no it's not. Coolant appears in the area just above the lower radiator hose where it attaches to pump housing. Drop forms every 10 to 15 minutes. Looks like it is seeping from the gasket between the chain case cover (lower radiator hose connection appears to be part of this cover?). There is a sensor there, but that is not the source of the leak either.Could this be a head gasket leak or a gasket failure on the chain case cover? I can't find anything in the way of a diagram of how this stuff fits together.

Re: coolant leak
It has been some time since i worked on these vans and they have been 95's or older but it seems to me there is a hose from the top of timing chain housing to the intake on these that may leak and follow the housing cover. Worth looking at hose and clamps.

Re: coolant leak
i got the same problem 1996 3.3L grand caravan, can't find the leak, it leaks only when the van is park, not while its running, and the leak is by the belt ,hose, that side.(small puddle amount of anti freeze)

Re: coolant leak
I have a coolant leak also in my 2000 chrysler voyager 3.3, It seems to leak in much the same way. when stopped, intermittent drip just above the oil filter about 5 or six inches, it runs down a hose and drips off the bend in the hose. I was wondering if using the wrong coolant could create some kind of a seal problem. I heard this van takes a special red coolant that should be bought from the dealer (HOAT). Does anyone know anything about the coolant type to use on my van or its non dealer substitute? Would the wrong coolant cause a leak possibly or would mixing the coolants create a problem?

Re: coolant leak
Check the coolant bypass hose (the one that bypasses the thermostat until thermostat opens) these are infamous leakers as the car ages.

Re: coolant leak
And be sure it's coolant and not a/c condensation combined with a little road grime dripping after you've used the a/c.
