Ok, I own a 1987 ford country squire. "go ahead and laugh"
I bought it for $1,000.00 almost a year ago. When I bought it, the following were brand new: radiator starter exhaust system rebuilt engine alternator fuel tank fuel pump The car only has 109,000 miles! That's still low for a 1987 wagon. Now I went and got the transmission rebuilt not too long ago. Here's the problem now. The car won't start unless you cross-wire the solenoid. So I went and got a new solenoid. Still you have to cross-wire it. What should I look for?????????

At the solenoid, there is a small starter ignition wire, make sure you have power there when the ignition is cranked. If you have no power there, it could be the ignition switch that is bad.
