Your 240sx'es

I was wondering if you guys can list your 240sx with engine swaps, mods etc.?

I just wanted to see how you guys have fixed it up and whatnot.

Your times for like 0-60 and quartermiles would be nice if possible

i just wanted to see what the options were, and looking to see what was worthwhile and what was not. i am pretty new to all the tuning and stuff. Didn't want to blow what little and non existent money that i somewhat have on something that wont offer nothing if that makes any sense

I don't want to destroy your world.

But with an AUTO and sohc KA and your mods, you'd run high 16's low 17's.

I barley ran low 16 with 5sp S14 STOCK. If you were able to run 15's you'd be in Civic Si territory, even stock SR (not performing at its peak) territory.

Just curious.

Was the 15.5 with gtech or did you actually go out to the track and run the time? Everyone knows that gtech's aren't really the most accurate things out there...

Ugh... Also depends on altitude, I forget but when I ran, I was pretty high up and did me no good. Then again I don't really drag race.

Yep, Glenn is right.. people on this forum need to quit bullshittin with the figures. G-tech is not a track, dont beleive the hype.

MeNismo> Many years ago, I took my car to the track and it ran a 17.2 at LACR (high altitude track). At lower altitudes, I am sure its possible to get in the 16 second range.. but 15's, no.. not really going to happen.

I wonder what my car would run if I ran it today. Wait a second, who cares? I dont waste my precious tires going STRAIGHT, so I dont care#?!#@ haha..

yea i would prolly do around a 17.5 stock with my auto, it's slo as shit. but i did the gtech on it about 2 mo ago then sold it... i did a 0-60 8.8 and 1/4 mi 16.5, and that was before header, electrical fan and tires. im wondering what i do now, i think i should go buy another one just to see. i think i can break into 15's. it's faster from a roll, i kept about even with a ricey gold 5.0 last week. had chrome wheels on and a passenger tho... who knows, im starting to care much less about this shit lately

You're not going to break into the 15's from tires and electrical fan. You've got to do much bigger work than that. NISSAN engineers spend a lot of time designing the parts for our cars, not everything you purchase in the aftermarket WILL result in an increase in power. Unless you start changing internals, you wont get THAT much power. And even after changing internals, the results are never that dramatic.

Turbo, NOS, SC, those all increase power but also require other costly upgrades.

ps: 5.0's are fast, he was not racing. But I agree, you are on the right track! The less you care about this shit, the less it bothers you. If you want to get some power, just get an SR and be done with it.

yea i know i want a 240 with a modded sr in it... but i want to hang on to the one i've got for maybe another year. its running great, nothing wrong with it but that shitty foam spoiler that's starting to rattle... i gotta take it to a body shop and have them rip it off.
