OFF TO BASIC TRAINING....and some more stuff
well i leave for basic in a week or two......18,000 signing bonus.... AIRBORN RANGER-SPECIAL OPPS and CHEF (chef has a 14,000 signing bonus so i jumped on it because they need a chef for the airborn squad) scored a 98 on my asvab and i will be going to basic for 8weeks then AIT for about 6 weeks total.....should be fun...also have a buyer for my hatch for 3800 with just the zc bottle and some bolt-ons....so im thinking about that and i have a deposit on a 02 lightning with 12K miles on it...still deciding where i want to go..test drove the STi wrx and its really not all that..handles great but the rest of the car didnt impress me except the seats...also took a SRT4 neon that was fun..but still not fast enough....so then i went and test drove a Focus SVT and it sucked...only 7psi of boost....and then the WS6 convert. firebird (black) liked it but liked the lightning better...so i figure when i get out of basic and AIT ill be prob. going for the lightning (thus the reason i put the downpayment on one of the 9 the local dealer has)...will keep all informed and will still pop in when i get out of BASIC...

cool...where u goin to basic at?? seems like the signing bonus is what gets everyone to join and re-enlist
 didn't get me though:silly2: have fun, stay safe, and stay away from the women in basic as i heard they will get u into trouble

90% chance going to Ft. jackson...but not sure yet (they will let me know in a few days..) signing bonus isnt what got me to join..but it was an added bonus ya know

Hope you realise your 18,000 enlistment bonus will be like 12 or so after taxes.... and i hope you got the gi bill and army college fund too..... good luck in basic and ait though....

Im in the aiforce and main things to remember is the abuse is not personal, the jobs they give you can NOT be finished in the time allocated and they DO respect you as you get better. You'll have a blast man!!! Good luck!

If ya go to Ft Jackson you will have to look me up when you get out on some leave time i live about 3 miles from the back gates, it is one big complex, i t is city inside the gatest of this place you will like it and the import sceen in columbia sc is big.

Joining the military (coast guard ) was one of the BEST and WORST things ive ever done. I hope you find better luck.. Boot camp is a blast tho!!! make some freinds quick, keep your spirits high and you'll find humor in everything. OHH and if you get the op.. sign up for extra activities away from you company ie..band...armed drill..laundy ect.. you'll have the pleasure of missin out on some of the daily PT torture..
and if anyone asks.. their is nothing inthe food.. its just stress Good luck

i dont know much about armed forces, but i didnt think you could just join right into airborne rangers and special ops, i thought you had to work your way up to that or something.

more bs huh...why arnt you in the forces..dont have the balls to fight for your country....???? you are correct as to the airborn. but i have been through ROTC and reserves now im full time and thus i have the option for airborn. i leave july 7th for basic then off to AIT for 6weeks then depending on where i stand i might be going into more training.

Well Congrats man! you have a great time and learn alot my buddy told me that it was the best thing he ever did if he wasn't hurt after basic hed still be in. How was ROTC i'm kinda thinking about that for college? get used to singing I WANNA BE AN AIRBORNE RANGER! have fun be safe.

And no, I do not give a shit about my country, or any country for that matter. I was born into a control system that I hate, which I can also do nothing about...
 But at least I choose not to serve the "system" by selling my soul to it. I will never join an army, for the simple reason that I refuse to surrender my will to the whims of another human whose shit stinks same as mine... Yeah, I am an anarchist... But at least I am free...:smoker2:
