How do you...
take the cap off the bottle of the paint? I can't seem to unscrew mine off the bottle...it's like it's glued together. I tried putting rubberband to the cap and unscrew it but to no avail. I don't know what to do now and it seem I only have this problem mainly the black paint. Any advise is appreciated...thanks.

Never shake you bottles, stir the paint with a stick instead. Always store your bottles straight up so the paint won't touch the cap. That way you bottle will always open like they're new.
Try putting your bottle under hot water before opening it (?) |

The running the top of the bottle tip works great, just don't burn yourself

add some thinner to the gap on the bottle of paint, then use some tools and hit the bottle, after few minutes, the bottle will be more easier to open. But do remember to clean your bottle before cover it back.

 DONT smack it i learned when i was 9 not to do that!! I broke it when i did it so, just take some prungs like the ones used for hog dogs and then take it and hold the back end, light the stove put the cap in the falme for about 3 seconds then stick it under water for about 2 seconds. Then if it is still hot to the touch take a rag and turn it they come open eazy!! But dont smack it and i cant say this about this topic enough. Smacking it is "USELESS"

Using a lighter is not a dumbass idea. Works for me everytime. Just dont leave it on there to long. 4 secs should be enough. Once you get it open put some Vasiline on the threads of the bottle and then it will not stick anymore

Here's my strategy for people who have a vice.....I usually take two strips of thin wood (i dont like the idea of the metal clamping on the glass) and put the bottle between them in the vice. Tighten carefully but of course not too tight. Then use pliers to unscrew the bottle. If done carefully, it doesnt take much effort at all to get the cap off. I don't think I've ever broken a bottle.

Do it the American way. Smash it, crash it, throw it.

Either run it under hot water, or what i do most times is stick it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds...it helps soften the paint around the lid.

You always come up with interesting uses for the microwave, other than food.. :hehe:
I just use any kinds of tools possible.
