Question E4od shudder...

Hey all, have a '93 Bronco with the E4od trans, get a shudder while gradualy applying throttle from around 35 mph (goes away with even more throttle ), did a minor service and added anti-shudder treatment, helped but it's still there...been reading on the wiring mod to use a toggle switch to lock or unlock the torque converter.
big question is: is it the torque converter or the solinoid pack?
i can make the shudder stop by applying a little bit of brake while maintaining the mild acceleration. from what i've read, this tells the PCM to tell the torque converter to not lockup.
strongly considering the wiring mod, as I don't have the money to replace either one of them.
so best guess anyone??
thanks
