Bleach in Fuel System
Hi. I own a 2004 Ford Taurus. My car was broken into and vandelized. They poured a Substance beleived to be bleach in my gas tank and in my oil. I know bleach to be corisive so im concerned about the whole fuel system, ie. gas tank, fuel lines and everything in between. Do i need to replace the whole fuel system. I am putting a new engine in the car.

Re: Bleach in Fuel System
I would make my decision on how strong a solution got in and how long it was there.

Re: Bleach in Fuel System
how long did you drive it before you found out??
yes how much would be nice to know,i'd drop the tank to see what the gas looks like.drain/clean for sure why the engine, bearings?? is this an insurance claim?if so then yes go for pump lines, flush ect. but if its on you i'd diagnose some more. how much oil you drain from engine would be an idea if its a gallon over then probably put 1 gal in each 1/2 gallon probably put 1/2 in each.just my thinking
