300m p0700 & p1776
I have a 2004 Chrysler 300M with 92,000 miles last month I was coming to a stop and I felt a cluck and I got a CEL, I plugged in a tester and shows 2 Codes
P0700 - Transmission Control System Malfunction P1776 - Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in LR Position I found a Service Bulletin on the Code http://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/n.../21-008-04.pdf My Dealer says I need a New Transmission for $3000.00 Can I replace the solenoid pack and run fine ? the trans shifts great, no other issues but this CEL and codes, no slipping, hard shifts nothing. I can't believe that the trans is bad without symptoms. Anyone else Experience this? |

Re: 300m p0700 & p1776
0700 code is the trans input or output sensor. Does your car only drive in second gear aka "limp mode"? Does the speedo work? If your speedo quit then you have a bad output sensor. Also, check this out as you may have similar symptoms: http://300mclub.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23352&hilit=1776
