Low trac light

I have a 1996 cutlass supreme 100,000 miles ..when i press the brake hard enough the low trac light will come one and I will here what i believe is the abs unit...This also happens if i hit a big enough bump...it started in the summer time when the road was dry and I didn't slide...and now it happens almost every time when the roads are slick because now its winter here.

Maybe struts? abs unit? wiring?

Re: Low trac light

Slick roads, is a wheel actually skidding /locking up?

Re: Low trac light

well it comes on when I slide but i guess thats normal.. But Like i said it also comes on when i hit a bump...Its seems to be more prominent on the front passenger side....

This started happening in the summer time on dry surface no slidding.....

Re: Low trac light

I would suspect a bad wheel speed sensor or the wiring to it. to be sure a a scan with an abs function scanner would look at wheel speed inputs.
