Re: Radio/antenna
I have a 2003 alero and my antenna works great! I pick up stations that all my friends cars can't get and the radio stations are 60 miles away.

Re: Radio/antenna
As found in a GM techical service bulletin:
Models: 1999-2002 Oldsmobile Alero 1999-2002 Pontiac Grand Am Condition Some customers may comment on poor radio reception. Cause This condition may be caused by a poor antenna coax connection at the passenger side lower kick panel. Correction Remove the lower kick panel and reconnect the antenna coax. Relocate the connection upward out of the foot area and tape it securely in order to avoid any future disconnection. Hope this helps |

Thanks
This fixed the problem. It took like 1 minute to fix, all this time I thought it was something with the signal booster. Thanks Josh |

Re: Radio/antenna
I'm glad I found this post. I've been trying to figure out for a couple of weeks why all of a sudden all I could get is static on the radio. I first thought it was something to do with the rear defogger/antenna but I couldn't find anything wrong there. As soon as I pulled the passenger side kick panel it was obvious that the coax had come disconnected. Sweet one minute fix. Thanks guys! BTW mine is a 2003 Alero.
