signal switch drama continues=-

@#%&^!! The mechanic replaced the ignition pass lock cylinder and also the turn signal swtich a few days ago. Everything was ok I thought. Now today the wipers will only work on high speed and the one hit with wash will work also. Yesterday I made a 400 mile trip and all was well. Cruise control was working last night.

I bought the switch at A/Z. I shoulda known !!

Re: signal switch drama continues=-

my mechanic was a chevy dealer mechanic for a few years. also he drives a lumina for many years and has done the switch several times on various GM cars.so i have full confidence in him. plus he,s always been honest with me. it could be the switch itself if the lever connects to a spring inside the column. in the past i remember some kind of spring action when you put the wipers on high speed. now it feels blank, no resistance trying to put the wipers on high speed. problem again = no intermittent and no regular speed wipers.

Sounds like multi function switch prob. which is the switch on the handle. These come as sw. already mounted on handle.

bear somebody told me that it,s the "wiper" switch. it,s in the box shaped part of the steering column that the lever goes in to .
