Overhead Console 98-99 Venture

Hey guys,
Decided to pull the console display and found where the loose connection was... question - - - how do you reapply this piece? (It's the little piece with "430" stamped, above and to the right of the display board.

I have two displays and this is the problem on both!! Thanks!

Re: Overhead Console 98-99 Venture

Got it! Just needed to tack it back down on each end with some solder. Hopefully this helps someone with a non-working display.

Plug it in and press around on the various boards... if you're lucky you'll find the one that is loose when the power returns. Careful as those boards will heat up quickly and will be hot to your fingers.

As I said, i've got 2 boards now, both were loose at that top "430" plate.

(No idea what they are called or how they work...lol)

Cheers!

I have a 98 chevy and was wondering how did you unplug DIC from wiring harness. Is there a tab on the red connector that I depress to do this.

That my friend is a resistor. 43 Ohms IIRC........ Thanks for the info!!! :-)

Question: Has anyone added one of these consoles to a non console van? What was involved? (I would be interested in doing such.)
