Question Tahoe Years??

Hello,

This should be easy to answer: I don't have a Tahoe, but I'm trying to help a family member who has a '98. All I need to know is what model years are compatible with the '98? For example, my GTP is model years '97-'03 and my Jeep is '99-'04 (hope that makes sense). I think this Tahoe is '93-'99, but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for the help.

you must list with what componets would the 1998 be compatible...

1999 was the transition year, which means at some point this vehicle became the new body style with new engines...

my 2000 SIL had the 4dr ext cab with the reverse doors come out in january of 2000...prior to that only the 4dr crew cab..

best thing to do is call a scrap yard with what is needed , they will know what is compatible ..

Re: Tahoe Years??

'93-'95 are OBD 1. '96-and newer are OBD 11. '99-00 are crossover years from Old Body Style (OBS) and New Body Style (NBS).

As far as compatibility always supply the VIN for the vehicle you're working on for correct parts.

Re: Tahoe Years??

Thank you for the replies. They actually have a cargo cover that came with the vehicle and I'm trying to find out what other years it would fit in.

Re: Tahoe Years??

I did some more poking around and it looks like it would fit years 92-99 or 95-99; I'm not sure which is correct.

Re: Tahoe Years??

Follow up: and now I'm reading that the Tahoe didn't even come out until '95, so I guess unless someone has conflicting information, there's my answer: 95-99.

Re: Tahoe Years??

If its just a cover 92-99... 92-94 are Blazers, they changed the name to Tahoe in 95, but they are basically the same as far as the body goes
