Good day AF

How's everyone?

I havent been on much lately, life got busy again

My mother got remarried this past Saturday, to a wonderful man The wedding was beautiful and so was Mom. We went out for a very nice dinner (just the wedding party) later on in the evening.

I am also in the process of going thru my house, rearranging stuff, discarding old crap and getting ready for a garage sale......then when all the dust settles from that, gotta start planning my own wedding

Alex and I are in a small dilema....we're trying to decide whether we want to keep his '01 Jetta (which he still owes $ on) for me to drive and sell my Neon, or keep trying to sell the Jetta and keep the Neon and then have the house/living expenses be the only debt. Obviously the Jetta ownz all over the Neon, but we are trying to figure out what's really best moneywise. However my Neon can never go a month without some little part breaking...yeah I STILL need new tires too <sigh>.

So that's my life at the moment......what's new with the rest of the AF Gang?

Keep the Jetta! From reading your posts, you seem to be repairing your Neon all the time.

Sounds like things are going pretty well for you Kat Thats always a good thing. My inlaws are heading up here for Memorial Day so we should have a blast. Not to mention my mother in law is an awsome cook, so the kitchen is hers.

As for the Jetta - if he has small payments, you're probably better off keeping it around. Unless you need the money for something else, not having that second vehicle around to bail out the Neon will be missed.

Wow... sounds like you're busy, Kat! Congrats on the weddings!

I would keep the Jetta, because the Jetta >>>>>>>>>>>> Neon. Neon may be fun, but Jetta is just soo much better, and come on... you get the cool key!

I myself have been dilligently (right) cleaning my room and setting up my new shop in the back of the house.

His payments are over $400 on the Jetta..he had no credit when he bought it and the car he traded in for it was a $1200 beater. The other thing is he has 2.5 years to go on payments...so refinancing for cheaper payments would basically start over with another 5 year loan...however, if we sold the Neon that $ would be thrown at the Jetta so it would shorten the time on the loan. Yes we work on my Neon alot, and I as much as I love it (it was my first NEW car) I am looking at things in the long-term. It is already 6 years old, anything can go wrong. Its also not that great of a car if we have kids...the suspension is too bouncy for an infant. With both our incomes I think we could work it into the budget, it will just mean less play money for a short time.

Oh crap my sig! I didn't think of that! OK nevermind, the Neon STAYS :finger:

j/k

Actually if I end up driving the Jetta that just means I'll have to come up with a better sig

I'm in the same boat as Antonio- I have a nasty Sinus infection- and took my first day off work of the year to rest for a while (Which I ended up cruising AF all day.

The Soccer season ends on Saturday- but I don't know if I'll be playing becaues of my sickness

I'm also considering selling off a few of my assets in NZ and just enjoy life in Europe for a few more years-but I am far too skeptical at the mo
