Would my car break in half or explode?
Would taking a '89 CRX out on the racetrack and racing it around be dangerous?
EDIT: How much wear would this cause, and would racing around on a dirt track be any better?

in todays world ... just driving down the street is dangerous.
You only have one life to live so live it. If you plan to race on a dirt track, use some steelies and if your car is lowered raise it up a bit. A rollcage also isnt a bad idea. Like anything, racing will take its toll over time on your tranny, engine, drivetrain, suspsnsion, tires, etc, but go ahead and do it ... like I said you gotta have fun in this life.

Dont be skurred... just get a real roll cage and goto town.
And by dirt track I think he means just that melt, not rally... therefor no need to raise the car up.

Don't worry about the wear.
If your suspension is stock, then lookout for the rear end passing you. Get a front strut tower bar. Flunky PS-Your car corners better with your foot on the gas. |

You think a front strut tower bar is going to help the rear from swinging around? :o

A front strut bar hardly does *shit* for handeling anyways. It may help some, but hardly at all. think about it, the firewall is like 6 inches away from the strut tower, i think the firewall is a little more rigid than an aluminum bar. combining upper strut bars with lower tie bars and sway bars does help out a little though.
