17x8..? will it clear?

Jason, i believe you did a little research before on the width and offset of wheels that would fit the P11 right? Do you think 17x8 with the proper offset would be okay for the car? 215s wont stretch 8" would it? or do i need to get 225s for it. Let me know!

damn luke, no ones replied yet lol

here's a little insight...i have 18x7.5's with a 42mm offset rolling on 215/40's, no prob, there's others here on this board that are lowered and have 18's also with 225/40's, no prob...hmm..what else...i've seen a car with 215 width tires on a 8in width rim, so thats possible, but the only downfall to that is that they'll be less protection to the rims then 225's would have. i'm sure the 225's with the proper wheel offset should fit fine but don't hold me to that...shoot i'm not sure what else to tell ya...sorry

Try this link - it'll give you an idea of what kinda clearance your looking at with changes in width and offsets.

Hey guys.. on the note of will it fit.. to all you P10 guys. On a 17x7 wheel, what kind of offset are you running, and now close is it to the suspension? A set of rims I'm thinking about, come in 17x7 w/ a 47mm offset, not right for the G20 I don't think, but I also think a spacer could fix it. Ideas, suggestions, comment? What have you guys had luck with? Thanks

BTW.. that link helps, but I'm trying to judge between the tire and the suspension. And i know different tires measure different, even for the same size tire. So, I'm mainly looking for what you guys are currently running, if you have 17" rims... offsets too, if you know it. Thanks

I doubt that they would work. I had some 17x7's and they came close.
But then again with the drop, the wheels would turn in abit, so it might work. Hell I don't know, I just like posting. But that is my professional opinion.

geez, thought you were suppose to be the pro here. bring out the calculator and tap on. 8inchs = 203mm

215mm tires clear, so yes, they will clear with right offset.
45mm - 40mm

p10 tires/wheels

17x7 will work with around a 44 to 45 offset, if you don't want rubbing. I've seen p10's with 205/40/17 and 215/40/17 tires that work just fine. Also 18x7 will work with 215/35 tire only on the p10. 18x7.5 will not work without some fender modification. I got the info for the 18's from a variety of manufacters that have confirmed this ( I work at a tire/wheel shop) I have also seen 18's on a p10. (looks pretty good)

Cool, so they should be ok, with something like a 2-3mm spacer, that's not too bad at all. Now, that's to say I could actually get my hands on these wheels, easier said that done, considering they've only been on showroom floors for about a week now, at VERY few dealerships. hehe And if I could fit 215-45-17's on there that'd be sweet, as i could then run the falken azenis tires, but that would also throw my speedo off kinda a lot.
