06 Front wheel bearing hub removal.
I have made 2 attempts at replacing both sides, and in both attempts, could not get the hub to break free from the plate. What tool or method is used to remove hub? My service manual just says "Remove It" no note for any type of puller. Auto zone guys all saying it should just pop out, but I have beat and banged and pulled evan put the tire back on and beat on it with nothing breaking free. Yes, removed all 3 bolts, spindle nut, and on the second attempt, evan put a jack under the suspension and had the shaft loose.

Re: 06 Front wheel bearing hub removal.
did you get halfshaft or axle loose from the hub and tie rod, strut, lower balljoint? you may want to take stable/lizer links and bushings loose?

you have an axle nut, 3 bolts thru the inside, and your abs sensor. Usually a couple wacks with a mallet will loosen it |

Re: 06 Front wheel bearing hub removal.
I tried everything I could think of, and could not get it loose. I evan put the wheel back on the hub and beat the crap out of it with a mallet. After giving up, I was at Autozone and I finally got an answer that may have worked, but bad weather set in and I had enough. The answer that made the most sence was a tool that looks sorta flat with 3 holes favoring one side, and 1 adjacent. This tool would bolt on to the hub with 3 lug nuts, and with probably a 1/2' threaded center that you can screw the slide hammer into, and then just hammer it out. That MIGHT have worked, but as usual, I get the best information after the fact every stinking time.
