Lumina loses power

MY 93 Lumina is acting up again. Idles fine for a couple minutes then sputters and backfires and dies. All cylinders are firing. I replaced the ign. mod. in the summer. The check engine light is not on. It is a 3.1 L. Can you tell me does it have a timing chain or belt? Thanks

Re: Lumina loses power

They have a timing chain, make sure your check engine light is not burnt out , it should come on when you first start the car,
