1995 Yukon 5.7 Starting issues
1995 Yukon 5.7 Changed Fuel Pump, Throttle Body sensor, pick up coil, Dist Cap, Rotor, plugs, and complete ECM.. Truck was starting but having a issue with stalling I found a smoked pick up coil so i changed it when i put everything back together she did not start. Batt Fine it turns it gets spark it gets gas when cranking she spits fire on occasion .. Im at the end of my rope really what can it be??

Hi Yuk it up,
I am sorry to hear about the result after all your work. Unfortunately, this could be caused by disturbing something during the work that was kind of broken and now really is. Did you change the fuel filter after replacing the pump? Is the fuel pressure good? Do the the injectors show a good spray pattern? Is there a strong spark on all spark plugs? Could the distributor be out of whack? Are there any diagnostic codes? Is the ECM known good and the right version / right programming for your VIN? The Yuke may need to be hooked up to a computer for diagnosis. Good luck, Eggert |
