Re: Honda NSR 500 Movistar

Nice progress, what color paint did you use after you took the tape off? Smoke?

Re: Honda NSR 500 Movistar

Personally, I used the sequence was as follows:

First pint out any leakage with aluminum;
Second, it is used in parts of solder mask
Now, paint with black masks on;
third, with clear orange paint over the black
After done that, painted blue with some clear areas of greatest heat;
Then with clear red, paint over some areas were painted with clear blue, to give a purple color effect.
Done it all, cut up the masks, and paint it all with smoke exhaust.
And finally, I used Weathering Set B of tamiya, to remove some evidence of masks and give a little more realism.

Now after giving the assembly:

Starting to put the decals, are part is very complicated, because these decals in addition to being large, easily broken.

While I'm taking a rest in decals, we'll take a few more finishes in the engine, and get and install the framework

Doing some details of the electrical parts

Wow, absolutely amazing work. I love working on Tamiya's motorcycle kits, but have yet to complete one.

On the electrical bits, are these all things you've made, or are any of 'em part of a kit you bought? Would love some input on how you made the electrical connectors if you made 'em.

I think there is a tutorial somewhere on AF. Usually this stuff is not in a kit. Although many aftermarket companies make stuff like this. Try mediamix,hiroboy etc.

On to the build, thank you for answering my question. I love the details your putting into these bikes. You must have pacience. Good luck.

Yea, thats what I meant. I was wondering if they might be part of an aftermarket kit or if he made them. I know that none of the motorcycle kits I have came w/ any electrical system parts like that.

Re: Honda NSR 500 Movistar

Your work is flawless, so clean. The details you are adding are amazing. You made an excellent job of the large seat decals, really well done for that and your exhausts look great..

Re: Honda NSR 500 Movistar

Grateful for the comments.

Now, an effect that always make the front brake discs:

After painting the disk Gun Metal (X10), I do mascara everywhere on the disc. After paint is part with Aluminum Motor (XF56) after doing it with a bristle brush with a little tougher, splash a little diluted white paint on the brake discs, this will give that aspect of the carbon discs. Remove the mask and the result is satisfactory.

Now, the disks already installed on wheels.

Re: Honda NSR 500 Movistar

Installing the front of the motorcycle.

Putting rivets in the exhaust.

Now doing some details on levers.

In the lever on the left did in the media control brake, also used a pin. I put a clear tube with a copper wire inside, which went to the right brake lever. Already in the grips put a wire of 0.22 mm.

Installing the fuel tank and the throttle, now just missing a detail in the brake calipers, since I'm awaiting some parts. This motorcycle will look like, as the fairing will not be posted.
