What do you use?
I am currently painting the engine of my GTR and in the instructions it says to paint the bottom end of the engine Chrome Silver. I spray all my parts and I have noticed that Tamiya dont make a spray can of this colour. Do you guys brush paint your engines using the Chrome Silver (pot) or do you use a different silver? If so what type?

bottom end of the engine?
You could use Tamiya silver leaf, TS-30, I guess, or you could airbrush with chrome silver. Me personally, I would either brush paint it on or airbrush it on.

Testors Chrome Silver in the square bottles look great airbrushed. Brushed is okay if the area is really small, otherwise it really looks brushed on since it has small metal particles in it. In fact I do all my detailing with Testors Chrome silver, Silver, Steel, and Aluminum. I don't even clean the brush/airbrush in between shades since the random colors look more realistic.
