2004 Expedition Problems.
It started out as a hesitant start. I would have to turn the key twice for it to start. I assume that it was the fuel pump at first but my wife told me that the dash gauges went left to right really fast. I thought it may have been the battery by then and took out the battery to charge it.
It was low with water so I did put some distilled water in it and put it on charge. Once I put it in and turned over the key. Nothing.. sounded lilke a tinking sound underneath thought but it didn't start or roll over. After trying to start it twice it did. And each time afterward. Now it want start again. Is there something I need to do when reinstalling a battery? Do you think its the starter? |

I just put my boats cranking battery in the truck.. will it harm any electrical systems?
It started with no hesitation. |

Re: 2004 Expedition Problems.
Anytime you see your gauges go crazy it's your battery. Expeditions really, really need the cranking amps to start even though your volts are good. Go get yourself a new battery with at least 750 cranking amps and you're all good.
