2010 "Firebird"

I saw a new Camaro with Trans Am-like front end and hood in a car mag at the library this week. Maybe it was Motor Trend? The Pontiac sites should be all over it. You can drive a new "Pontiac" again for maybe $20,000 extra.

Do a search on "Scott Morgan". He's the guy "behind" it. It sure is a WHOLE LOT prettier than the Camaro, IMO, and "true" to its "heritiage".

Re: 2010 "Firebird"

Wrong Firebird, Jim! I Yahoo'd Kevin Morgan Firebird and up came this black '78-ish 'Smokey and The Bandit' thing. The one I saw was orangey red and looked more like a '70 Trans Am front end, with two big round-looking headlights and rectangular air intakes.

I think this one is much better looking than the Camaro. But I thought the same thing in the '70s, even talked my wife out of buying a new '74 Camaro and into a '74 Firebird. Resale on the Pontiacs was better for years afterward, maybe it was the "Jim Rockford" effect.

Her Admiralty (dark) Blue Esprit with white interior and white vinyl top came with 14" honeycombs and RWL Goodyears. I talked the dealer into swapping for 15s, so somebody out there ended up with a new '74 Trans Am with 14" wheels! Wonder if anybody noticed?

Funny thing is both Mr. Morgan and the builder of the orange car hung what look like a '70 and a '78 Firebird front clip on what's supposed to be a '69 Camaro-inspired shell. I didn't realize that 'til today.

Re: 2010 "Firebird"

Nope. Not wrong. Apparently, Kevin has MANY "designs" and redos. The one I speak of is called "Kevin Morgan Trans Am Concept Car", based on the '10 Camaro. There many pics of it on Trans Am Country.
