01 lx auto removing or disabling after market alarm?

Help plz.. Over 2 yrs ago the remote for this failed so i havent used it since then..
installing a new battery didnt help so I figured it was defective and only use the key to lock the car anymore..

After having the car battery fail and needing to put a new one in and the following ordeal this created I have decided to remove or disable it completely. I managed to shut down the warning NOISE that it created and then found a reset button which while I held that down managed to turn the car on again.. as I noticed that the alarm was still enabled by the flashing lights and not being able to start the car..
well all in all my plight is how to remove or disarm the damn thing now that i figured out how to restart the car after the alarm engaging once i shut the hood .. it triped the alarm and it wouldnt shut off I disconnected the battery long enough to figure out where the wires ran from the signal light into the harness and found the fuses to the NOISE and pulled them .. then connected the battery back up to find the alarm still engaged but without NOISe.. then i proceeded to locate the reset button and managed to hold that down while i started the car..
please if anyone has an idea on how to disable or completely remove the Alarm out of the car I would be ever so grateful this is annoying to me and not worth it to have the thing installed since the remote no longer has been working for 2 years I will install another one at a later date if I decide to keep the car..
