sportline or pro kit

i am going to get either the eibach sportline or prokit, i want a nice lower, and great performance, way better handling and stiffer ride, i might do some autocross but not to worried about that, wich one should i go with? Alos do i need a front and rear camber?

Personally I'd go with a prokit. It's pretty stiff, better handling (i think) than sportline, and has an agressive drop of up to 2". If you dropped it to the max, I'd recommend the camber correction or you'll be going through tires really fast with a drop like 2". That's just my personal preference though.

You also might want to check out the H&R Sport springs. Slightly better handling than the prokit, though it doesn't lower it as much.

I suggest at least a front camber kit. If you plan to autox than you need much more than just springs and a camber kit. Go for a full coilover kit.

racing: coilovers

maybe not: pro-kit. the prokit is stiffer than the sportline, and cheaper, and has much better handling. The prokit is designed for a 1.5-1.75" drop (though often does settle to abot 2") and is designed for better handling. with the right shocks, you should have a great set-up. a camber kit isnt all that necessary with that low of a drop. if it starts to settle a lot cause you used cheap shocks, you will see some tire wear sooner than normal.

essentially, Im just agreeing with civicHX, I've done A LOT of research on the suspension possibilities with Eibach, so I figured I'd back him up.

Personally I would'nt waste my time even researching eibach for suspension. Like I said go for a full coilover kit, i.e. Tein, Zeal, Buddyclub, etc. All these put an eibach setup to shame. Yeah the price is up there but you get what you pay for.

I kinda agree with B16 on this one (how's that for non-committal?). There are definately coilovers that'll do better, but on the other hand if you couple a prokit with KYB AGX shocks, or even koni yellows, i hear that's a really tough combo to beat. I haven't heard much on some of the full coilovers that B16 mentioned, so I can't say which is better. If B16 has ridden both and says coilovers are better, I'd say go with him and look into the coilovers.

All the companies I listed are JDM. I'm not a big JDM advocate but these are the best coilover setups out there. Maybe some of the real autoxers on this site can list some cheaper USDM setups but as I said they won't be better.

Pro kit drops 1.4" settled and sportlines are a 1.8" drop that tend to settle to 2".

Pro kit front camber can leave as is, 2 washers to correct the rear camber.

Sportlines will need a camber kit if you daily drive and worried about uneven wear.

Pro kit and AGX is the setup I currently have and it handles great and perfect for daily driving. I would definity recommend getting adjustible shocks, sometimes you just want to cruise or go on long trips and being able to go from a stiff uncomfortable ride to almost close to stock Is definitly a plus. If your planning to occasionally Auto-x for fun, H&R sport springs might be a better pick with some Koni's... very streetable. If you're a little more serious Ground Control or Skunk2 coil over sleeves are nice and you can get custom spring rates.

If you want to get dirty go with a full coilover setup like B16EJ1 suggested. But get ready to laydown some major BANK$$$ for some of the quality setups.

*EDIT: Just noticed you have a 5gen hatch. I'd go with ground control, Skunk2's OR H&R cup kit.

(but, HXCivic97, I thought I was the only one!? )

now I never said anything against coilovers. ESPECIALLY if you are gettin into racing, get em. they're worth it. especailly if you're lookin to get into autoX. but if you're gonna be on the street, you really dont need em, and could put the money into something else.

CivicSiRacer is a big AutoX'er, PM him see what he thinks.

I was looking into getting the sportline or the pro, and I just put on the pro's 2 days ago, and it really helped the ride. I thought it would be alot stiffer, but you only feel that on really rough roads. I was happy with the drop, its gunna let me put bigger tires on it still.
