wont start

Im sorry if im posting this again but i cant find my original post. : (

I have a 99 cav 2.2 . I dropped it off at work last week, (i drive a truck) and got in it yesterday and it started for about a second but then died. If i kick the key back and then try again it will do the same thing, start for a second and die, but if i dont kick the key back and just try to restart it all it does is work the starter. btw, the headlights, interior lights, and the dash lights dont work but the turn signals, wipers, and radio do. thanks for any help you can give

Re: wont start

Had it in to a mechanic. Some of the wiring from an after market theft device went bad. I didn't get a chance to actually talk to him yet but I'm going to talk to him tomarrow. Still have a couple problems, one being the radio clears the preprogramed stations each time i turn the car off.
