Re: AC Clutch will not engage
If there is no pressure in the system it can't turn on. If I remeber right there is a pressure switch behind the driver side head light. It's located on an a/c line. Unplug it and stick a paper clip in the two holes. Start the car and turn the a/c on. If it comes on you have no juice. Easiest just to covert it to R134a.

Re: AC Clutch will not engage
you could also jsut take the cap of the low pressure side of your ac system and take a ball point pen and poke it down to see if theres pressure.

Re: AC Clutch will not engage
you need to set the Air Conditioning to maximum. if it does not blow out cold air then With the ignition key on,unplug the low pressure clutch cycling switch and place a jumper wire across the connector.
If the compressor clutch doesn't click in then first check for Battery Voltage at the connector.
