SRS system

I just bought a lincoln ls, sounds like it has a clockspring problem. I was wondering if the srs system will make the ODB2 system come up with a code.. Because if i dont have to fix it for inspection then i wont.

SRS codes are available from the OBDII with a Ford specific scanner. They will not come up on a generic scanner. Many states require that all safety equipment be functional to pass inspection. (The SRS light being on would be enough to fail you.)
