starting problems

I have a 95 chevy caprice with 5.7. Just recent I have come on this problem. when I try to start up it will not, but after a few turns it will. when it starts up it sounds as if it's not getting any gas when it first starts up. Then you can hear the motor turn up as the gas flows. This happens some times. I drive the car after that and it's fine. Could some one please help with this problem?

Re: starting problems

When was the last time you had the fuel filter changed?
If it has been a while, I would try that first and see what happens.

you most likely have water/contaminated fuel. I believe its quite wet your way . water reacts with the fuel/alcohol, then the filter/ injectors get plugged up.

if you don't use this vehicle much always use a fuel stabilizer..

could also be corroded connections at the ECT sensor or the sensor itself. measure the fuel pressure to be sure the fuel pump/filter is ok .pressure should be about 47psi . need a fuel pressure guage.
this is with the lack of any dtc failure codes/service engine light.
