2006 Prius check engine light
Engine light came on this morning. I checked the gas cap and it wasn't loose; I haven't noticed any driving problems with the car. My car is a few months out of extended warranty coverage. My question: do I necessarily need to go to Toyota dealer to get this light checked, or can my local mechanic shop (where I get my oil changes and inspection done) take care of this matter? (He does have hybrid-trained technicians who work there.)
Thank you, |
