99 Charging system--battery light

Got a battery light comming on, on a 99 GA. I replaced the battery and Alt. The light is still comming on. What would be the next item to check. The positive lead off the alt. dissapears down and i'm not really sure where it ends up i guess this would be next. Any help would be app.

Do you remember how you solved this problem?

Newbie, do you have the same year vehicle?

What is the condition of your battery? Old? Recently replaced?

Do you have a voltmeter?

If yes, attach it to the battery....a fully charged bat reads 12.6 volts.....

Crank vehicle, does battery drop below 9.6 volts?

With vehicle running, is voltage above 14.0 volts?

Get engine to normal operating temp....

Turn on lights, rear defogger and blower on high.....

Does voltage drop below 12.0 volts?

Rev engine to 2000 rpms, does voltage rise above 13.0 volts?
