Is it possible to reprogram keyless entry fobs to work on other cars?
I have 2 key fobs that used to operate my 98 ultra that was recently totaled. I jsut bought another 98 ultra and only got one fob with it. Is it possible to program my other 2 fobs to work with the new car, along with the one that came with it?

You may want to try the procedure detailed in our Buick "Tips and Maintenance Procedures"

If the remotes were the OEM remotes from 1 - 98 Park Avenue to another 98 Park Avenue, you can easily program the remotes from the old vehicle to the new one. Up to 4 remotes can be programmed to the same vehicle at once.

I think I am using the wrong connector block. The one I found right under the drivers dash has the right number of connectors but when I tried this procedure it didn't work, after further analysis I find that one or both (cannot remember) connectors at connectors 4 and 8 have no wires connected at all in behind.

Are you looking at the connector in the correct position? If you look at it upside-down, it may be backwards. Look again, and notice the position of the pins as shown below.

Re: Is it possible to reprogram keyless entry fobs to work on other cars?
I am pretty sure those where the pins I was using the larger side of the connector was up and I was using a paperclip to jump from the left of middle (I also counted from left to right to pin 4 to make sure I was getting the right one) then inserting into the top left hole. After I did not receive a response I looked in the pin holes and did not see any connectors in the holes like I saw in other holes. I will take another look today at lunch.
