99 LHS - check engine light; leaking fluid

Hello, everyone. Sorry, but I am a newbie to this.
I recently bought a 1999 LHS at an auction and thought I got a good deal, but on the way home I got a "check engine" light. The car ran smooth and didn't give me any problems. However when I got home, I looked under the front and saw some leaking fluid coming from the front pax side of where the radiator is (dripping from around a bolt head in the pan(?) that goes along the bottom of the radiator). The fluid was a clear redish color. The leak was a very small drip which left a small stain on the cardboard I left overnight.

Any help would be appreciated if the engine light and the drip are related and what I might do to correct it. I am trying to avoid taking the car into a dealer or shop just yet because frankly if I had a ton of dough I wouldn't have had to buy the car at an auction. I'm willing to work, I just don't have much knowledge on cars. Hopefully you guys can help out this newbie...

Any help would be most appreciated.
thanks.
