Lightbulb what to do with all your spare parts and junk?

my wife came into my hobby room today and said "you have alot of junk in your spare parts box. why don't you do something with it" ........ hmmmm she got me thinking. lets make a model. i decided to really put my skill to the test. this project is gunna take rejects, and messed up parts from about 6 or 7 different models (that should have went in the trash a long time ago), and turn that heap into a fully custom show ride. so buckle up... this one is gunna get bumpy.. lets start with the pics from day one...

lets start with the heap of junk

so know what the heck am i gunna do with all this junk. well i'll tell you. i gunna make a six wheel truck. so lets start the progress

know here comes the tidious part of fillin and fixin.. for this there was no way that i could just use putty, and i whould have had to buy stock in styrene to be able to fill all the gaps, so i turned to my good friend called bondo!!!

know i should be able to do the rest with normal puddy.. let me know what you think so far... and on this one, im gunna need all the suggestions you can through at me. so let me hear them.... thanks for looking. jason

Rock on! Very cool project... should be satisfying and a great test of your skills.

Is this going to be a convertible 6 wheeler? :coolguy:

project insane continues

wow, what did i get myself into.. this project has become alot my involved then i was expecting but i think that the end result will be worth it..

as far as the progress, im about 90% done with the body work. it took me about 2 weeks, and let me tell you there was alot of sanding in those two weeks. so here's the pictures to show you what i went through

this picture really shows off the work done to the sides

i also decided on which rims to go with.. and i must say i am really happy with the product... i went with the 1:24 spintek style 4 rims.
heres a picture of them.. there's also a movie of them in action but i don't know how to get it on here..

and finally some pictures with the rims..

well that's it for today.. sorry about all the pictures. for some reason i have a habbit of not being able to put the camera down.. so let me know what you think, i love hearing your opinions.... jason
