Looking for a 4 cylinder TDI sold in he US. Any model and earliest year possible.

Title explains it. Looking for a small TDI engines sold in the US. I know the 2009 and 2010 golfs and jettas have them and are sold in the US. Any models before that?

in U.S you can find 1.9tdi 1996 and up from the mentioned vehicles
