95 Ranger A/C question

I recharged my A/C this weekend and the air is cold on Max AC only. It I move to the other 2 settings, the air begins to blow warm then hot. If I move it back to Max it is super cold again. Any ideas why it won't work on the lower setting.

thanks,

Re: 95 Ranger A/C question

The vacuum line going to the blend door is leaking or off . Check for leaks around the intake manifold and the heater/air conditioner.

The blend door is behind the glovebox correct?

Re: 95 Ranger A/C question

uhmm..........the vacuum line you are looking for is under the hood. The line is the tiny hard vacuum line........they have a tendency to come loose and/or crack. Ford/Motorcraft does not make this line in bulk, you have to buy small sized rubber vacuum line and slide it over the factory line to make repairs.
