01 alero cranking but not turning over
A friend of mine has an 01 Alero, which has a starting problem. It will crank and turn over some times, but when it does, only runs for about a minute, and won't start for a while after. I saw similar problems relating to the passlock system, but it doesn't reset after leaving the key in the on position. The security light is on at all times and never shuts off. I found a connector disconnected at the coil, which I found from looking through the wiring diagram that it went to the 7x crank sensor. If the 7x crank sensor is disconnected, would the car even start? I know that there is two crank sensors on this car, so I wasn't sure. TIA
