v-afc
Hello, I am new here and was wondering if you guys could help me out. I have a 97 civic with a gsr and turbo (t3-t4), I was wondering what rpm I should set the v-tec to kick in, right now it kicks in at 5200 rpm or so. I am running 6 and a half pounds of boost, do you think my engine can handle more with stock internals? Here are a few of the mods:
2 fuel pumps edelbrock victor-x intake tial wastegate/vortech blow off valve rev-hard intercooler/exhaust manifold v-afc/ avc-r msd ignition/coil ngk fluidyne radiator 550 cc injectors and all the other normal stuff greddy evo exhaust/ downpipe Another ? would it be better to get a gsr tranny?, right now I have and ls. Thanks |

Ive heard that the gsr can ahndle 10 pounds of boost stock, but I dont know if Id push it, Id stick with 8 or so. and also I heard longer gearing is better for turbo.

It just feels like it takes to long for me to get through 3rd gear, I usually only race through 3rd, 4th has very little pull, but boost does stay up through all of 3rd, 7600rpm.
