new water pump for 2000 tahoe...

the water pump is leaking and in need of replacement on my 2000 tahoe nbs 5.3l 4x4

my question is, should i get a new GM pump or an aftermarket pump. i've seen posts in here that its common for them to leak from the weep hole (which is the case for my leak). i dont know if this is common for all of them no matter the maker, or if its specific to the GM pumps. i did some pricing on aftermarket pumps and found some aftermarket pumps with lifetime warranties for less money than the GM with a shorter warranty. i know "lifetime warranty" doesnt mean it will last forever, but sometimes i have more confidence in a part that has "lifetime" and the same part with a 1 year warranty. if for no other reason, atleast i'll be able to get a replacement at no cost more than a year later.

also, do the water pumps come with all the parts needed to complete the job, or do i also need to buy an additional gasket/seal kit.

this will also be my first time changing the pump (on this vehicle, but i've done other non-tahoe vehicles in the past). any helpful hints for completing the job?

Always go brand new not rebuilt.
Should have all gaskets to replace it but you need to check your hoses and belts and coolant when replacing it.

I have had good luck with the aftermarket brand new water pumps.

I recently had mine replaced and the pump (GM) price was $275 (CDN).
