WIP Promarkt-Zakspeed AMG Mercedes '94

This I my first WIP. The kit is Tamiya Promarkt-Zakspeed AMG Mercedes and This is one of a series of DTM kits released by Tamiya that I intend to working on.

Here is the dashboard

The seat painted and sealed with Humbrol matt varnish

Seat belt from Eduard, control panel, shift gear, etc.

Back lens painted with Tamiya Clear Red

Here is the engine, I want to improve with wires.

Break disc painted, washed and I added some bolts to represent the real think, if it is visible I will add two more on each side.

The wheels, I preferred to use the stencil instead of the decals that it comes with the kit.

I don't know for the name of this piece for sure, but the radiators were positioned in the place but they were not glued yet.

And...

I hope you enjoy like me and any comment are welcome to improve this kit.
Almeida

Indeed a great start to one of the 'real' DTM cars, from a period when it was fun (at least in my eyes) to watch the DTM races.

Your parts look very clean and well done.
I'll sure be following this build !

Re: WIP Promarkt-Zakspeed AMG Mercedes '94

Thank you all for the nice comments, I am returning to the hobby after a long time without setting up anything, then I am catching the way again, but if you think I need some clue, please do it.

Re: WIP Promarkt-Zakspeed AMG Mercedes '94

Small updating, I painted with metallic blue that part and I glued the radiators.

The internal parts of the door, I need to improve some details here, but I think nor it will be visible after ready.

The parts of the back suspension...

... here I need to fix some details, the paint came out in the tip of the screws and it was flow in the junction over the yellow. I painted of metallic blue the body of that part with the cover in flat aluminum. Does anybody know what is that part? Does it deserve some connection with some thing?

After I saw the in car video I decided to remove the red paint on the panel, I painted with a dark gray and I brushed matt varnish in the steering wheel, I think was good.

The cage, I decided to give one more coating because the yellow was not good, now I will repaint the protection with flat black.

Comments to get better or clues are welcome. Thank you.

Too bad about the broken part, because your build is coming along nicely.

You're a very clean builder. I like it a lot.

Re: WIP Promarkt-Zakspeed AMG Mercedes '94

small problem, that broken piece...get a thin styrene to replace it.
or if you're not confident the 2 pieces will look the same, then file off the other good piece & do a pair of this!

great shine...
keep posting!

Thank you. I have the Tabac too I'm not sure when I will start it but that color is a really challenge.

I will try that, I think I can make a new piece from a styrene and I will cover it with bare-metal.

New pictures
The front grille painted

here is the wing almost done

Here I need to clean up, lot of dust and some paint flowed

Fit test, I applied bare-metal in the body to simulate the chrome-plated behind the lenses

Thank you for following my WIP.
