Sorry for my impatience but.....

... but I can't wait to ask..... did you guys got your Palooza LM reunion this year also? It is one of the highligthed appointment to follow to me, see the shared energy, fellow modeler's destroyed faces after 24 hours of non stop build... beer elsewhere...

BTW... did you got guys the chance to keep up this tradition? Plizzzzzz share!

Re: Sorry for my impatience but.....

Six modelers in my dungeon built a kit of a LM car during the race. We had a great time and we didn't have any DNF's

There may be some pics around later.

The cars completed were:

Ferrari 312P coupe
Ferrari '57 TR
Ferrari 250LM
Ferrari 330 P4
Ferrari P2 White Elephant
BMW M1 Pro Car
Ford GT40

It wasn't really a plan to build so many F cars it just worked out that way.

Re: Sorry for my impatience but.....

Which one is yours, Brian?

I assume the white elephant is Bob's. And the models do look great, I really envy you that you can organize such joint builds.

Re: Sorry for my impatience but.....

I got lazy this year for the event. Not only did I cheat like crazy to finish my Hasegawa Testa Rossa in the 1958 NART "Lucybelle II" scheme, but I left my camera off until the end of the race.

Great time had by all

First models were done by about midnight EST. Mine was done by 1:15AM. A couple were done right at the end of the race.

You're great guys. Ok I wait good picts , models looks gorgeous. And for sure more stat. data are appreciates: liters of beer drunk (I suppose there wasn't young Mike kicking around...or yes?), tons of popcorn.. etc

Wey: not to know your own things, just to be ready to manage the first euro- "Palooza" over next years

Amazingly enough, we didn't consume any alcohol at all and I'm not sure but I think we have never been drinking for the race.

Not that we're all non-drinkers (some are anything but ), but we just don't have a tradition of drinking while modeling. Drinking would make it more fun, but DNF's are not fun

Eating is another matter. We had all kinds of food; delicious homemade cookies & brownies baked for us by Mach I 2003's wife, lots of assorted chips, pretzels, "Jelly Belly" jelly beans, I made homemade guacamole dip, we ordered pizza, and consumed mass quantities of carbonated beverages. I attempted somewhat healthier mass-consumption by also bringing some bananas, mangoes, and red cherries.
