Question Removing dried masking sol

Hi,

I have applied Gunze Masking Sol for masking the whole INTERIOR of a Tamiya 1/24 VW New Beetle main body.

I have completed painting the EXTERIOR but I have quite a tough time trying to peel off the dried masking sol. They have become quite hard and I could only peel them off little by little.

Any tips for easy removal? Say, I was thinking of soaking in warm (or hot?) water and will this help to soft the mask for easy peeling?

Any advice will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

I soaked for hours and the mask refuses to be easy. Oh well, I just have to peel it bit by bit. Despite careful masking some edges that are not supposed to be masked(painted) are also peeled. Sort of defeats the purpose of the masking.

I will repair these edges with a small brush touchup and sanding.
