Sputter

Periodically my Civic sputters after startup. The problem is coolant getting into the cylinder and then burning off once I gas it a little bit. I know it isn't the head gasket, and the head is not cracked because there is no coolant in my oil or vise-versa. Could it be my intake manifold gasket? I did recently do the MPFI swap. Could coolant be leaking past and into the number one intake runner? I did put a new gasket on when I swapped. Give me some ideas before I tear it apart.
Thanks and God Bless.

Re: Sputter

I haven't posted here in a while, man the memory's.

Well to help you out, I would check the radiator to see if its at the right level.
Check for any other leaks outside the engine, All hose are connected and tightened properly? Have you tried Flushing out all fluids?

If that doesn't work, when I had my rex it would sputter, but that was due to me not placing the ignition wire to a correct cylinder so it sputter and burn a bit of white smoke. Check to see if that is it. Post back and update if that helps.
