2002 Silverado pu no crank after changing battery

Help, the truck ran fine until the battery went bad. We changed the battery and when we hooked it up the horn started honking. We reset the horn with the door remotes but the truck won't crank. I pulled the starter relay and jumped 37 to 86 and the truck would crank and start. The relay is good, we seem to have lost trigger signal from the ignition switch to the relay. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the starter circuit or the interlock? I thought it might be a problem with the passlock system but I can't find any information that says it locks out the starter, it does shut off the fuel pump. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

work the shift lever a few times. It may be the ignition switch .see if you have voltage to the relay coil when ignition to start position.

security OEM system will not prevent cranking ...

I agree with j cat about checking the relay. In the diagram, the relay coil is on the right, the switch/load side of relay is on the left. The two wires at top are voltage, right wire to coil, goes hot with key in the crank position. The left top wire is hot all the time.
