Coolant purge method

Could any one tell how to properly purge the coolant in the radiator and where is the valve?

My 1995 740il keeps leaking antifreeze when its running....

Thanks....

Re: Coolant purge method

If it is like my 1988 750 the drain plus is located at lower left(drivers side ) of the radiator. My transmission cooler lines almost hide the valve and it is a bear to get at and in (IMHO). The plug is probably plastic with a cross cut, hex head. I recommend you use a screwdriver to turn the plug out and with the cap on expansion tank off and the plug out the coolant should drain out (except for that still trapped in the block and I guess running clean water in the expansion tank with drain plug out might clear the block. When reinstalling the drain plug do not use a lot of torque, just enough to seat the plug, then refill and fire her up and look for leaks.
