Arrow I need to install a new fuel filter...

Well I have no clue when the last time the 98 had a new fuel filter in it. I know for sure not in the last 25,000 miles. So I bought a baldwin filter but don't know how to put it in. I will try to find a how to article but any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: I need to install a new fuel filter...

GM filters usually have either a quick connect fitting or a threaded fitting. I have found a 16mm and a 20mm wrench work well for the threaded fittings. If it has a quick connect fitting with the white plastic tangs pinch the tangs and slide off the fitting. If it has a black plastic cap on the quick connect push the black plastic piece towards the line to release the quick connect.

Thanks, that will be useful once I find out where the thing is. Ha, do you have to take out the backseat to get to it?

Re: I need to install a new fuel filter...

Do I need to access it through the wheel well or through the backseat?

You'll need to safely jack up the car and look underneath
