93 lumina
ok my turn now lol. i own a 93 lumina. have had her along time. been very reliable. the past yr i thought my ignition module went out again so i parked her. then about 6 months later took her in to get fixed and they replaced the coil pack. They checked ignition module said it was fine. Plugs wires and fuel filter were done last yr also. they got her running when they did the coil pack but what they cant figure out is when she first turns over she stays running but once the motor warms up and you shut it off and retry she fires up but dies unless you keeps gunning it then it may keep running. she dies backing up and dies coming to a complete stop. any clues cause they aint got any. LOL tks

Re: 93 lumina
Welcome to AF, check fuel press. first 37 is ok, then suspect crank sensor or the ign control module both can fail when hot.

Re: 93 lumina
ok. i was also told by someone to maybe check the fuel pressure regulator also....i do hear fuel pump kick on after key turned over and when shes ran awhile and turned off you can hear it. where is the fuel pressure regulator located on car? i did want to add other than this slight problem this car has over 311,000 miles on her( and no i aint junking it out thankyou lol) and i want to keep her going .
p.s.s. i did want to add that while driving her today if i keep foot on gas and brake when stopiing if i keep it at 1,000rpm she wont die but when i take foot off gas she does and i noticed also when i take off from stop sign the rpm bounces up and down from 500 to 1,000 rpm) until i get speed up then it levels out to around 2,000rpm's until gears shift then it stays at 1500. when i stop it just drops to 0 and dies.
