Re: 1g head 2g block wont start no oil flow

answer: must have been a bad oil pump... we changed out the oil pump gears, made a new- better gasket, torqued it to spec, and primed it... then it worked but still wouldn't start. I strongly believe the problem is that we are using 2g cam caps on 1g head so its not a right fit, i currently have the head at the machine shop once again, this time - for a line bore on the caps.

Swapping cam caps = big no-no.

Re: 1g head 2g block wont start no oil flow

well we got it goin'. we had to fix the gear in the oil pump and line hone the cam caps.

thats the past though. since then we did a 2.3 stroker rebuild with 100mm forged eagle crank, wiseco pistons and eagle h-beam rods, acl race bearing. We also built the 1G head. Did the 3 degree valve angle job added some Ferrea competion series valves, some double springs, upgraded lashes. lots of other goodies!!!!! all around!!!
