97 GTP Transmission leak

I was doing an oil change the other day and noticed that under the car near the radiator that there was a red fluid built up around the front undercarriage. I think it is coming from the transmission cooler line but I'm not sure nor can I see where they connect. Does anyone have a writeup on how to replace the line/hose?

Re: 97 GTP Transmission leak

Cooler lines are common leak points on these cars. Mine had a new one replaced before I bought it with 70k on it.

I don't know of any write-ups. You could be the first one! as far as I know it is just a simple switch. Unbolt the old, bolt on the new. Someone on here mentioned little clips on the lines where they connect to the trans. If so, there is a special tool, otherwise a small flathead screwdriver or a nice pick set will usually work just fine. Although I could have swore the 4t65e's I've worked on had regular nuts where the lines bolted to the trans. (maybe I am thinking of the 4t60e). Troy would know.
