1995 Toyota Avalon

Does anyone know the procedure for replacing Valve Cover Gaskets on a 1995 Avalon?

Also do you know the flat rate time to perform this.

Thanks

Re: 1995 Toyota Avalon

For the replacement procedure, you can refer to the stickies at the top of the Camry forum and find the V6 engine (1MZ-FE) repair manual. The front bank gasket is much easier to replace than the rear. To me, if you replace one then you should replace the opposite side too...the thinking being that if the one side started to leak then the other is probably not far behind. For the shade-tree mech, if the front is leaking, just do the front. If the rear is leaking, you might as well do the front too. The gaskets are sold in pairs. I have no info on prices, sorry. Good luck!
